Get To Know Jaime of Jaime Organics - Part 1

Of all of the things that we have been up to - this is THE MOST EXCITING!

This spring we got our first Instant Eden Home Retailer up and running in Santa Barbara, CA.  She is Jaime Nelson and she started the business Jaime Organics.  Jaime sells Instant Eden products, with an emphasis on children's products and skin care.  She has done an amazing job right off the bat and has already influenced Instant Eden product lines for the better.  Her input has been invaluable in getting the children's line produced.  She gives me great input about all the products.  In fact, she is the one that got me to switch from a squeeze bottle to pumps.  She is fun and super smart and a joy to work with.

Here is the first part of her journey:

My Instant Eden Meets Jaime Organics Evolution

My son, Grant was born when my daughter was two and a half.  For those two years, I had struggled trying to find bath and body products for my daughter’s eczema, which she had since birth.  rashy.  Anytime the weather got too cold, too hot or if she was in chlorinated water or water with harsh soaps, her skin went crazy.  My search for something mild enough to not irritate her skin, but still clean a two year old, went on and on.

Then, one day, after my son was born, a beautiful package arrived on my doorstep from my husband’s aunt, Melissa, the Owner and Founder of Instant Eden.  I knew Melissa had created a wonderful business of bath and body products using fragrances, but it didn’t occur to me that they were products that would help Molly’s difficult skin. When I opened this box, I saw Marshmallow scented bath gel, lotion and pillow spray. I dug a little deeper in the box and there was more! Bubble gum body wash, Baby Love body wash and lotion (for my brand new baby boy’s skin) and custom designed fragrances for each child’s room.

We RAN to the bath. Here is where everything changed.  My daughter was beyond excited about her marshmallow bath. The body wash felt so soft and smooth that we poured it directly in her bath, we bathed her body, washed her hair and then slathered her scaly body with the new lotion.  After the bath, we got her jammies on and she excitedly sprayed her pillow before going to sleep.  Now, I must explain that my daughter has never been easy to put to bed, so any added joy we can throw into the nighttime routine is welcomed!  To my surprise, she went to bed easily.  Melissa later explained to me that the components that make up that marshmallow scent, also have a calming effect.

Molly woke up the next morning, ran into my room and screamed, “I had marshmallow dreams, mom!”  My husband and I laughed out loud.  After I got up, I went to help Molly get dressed for the day and could not believe that in one day, her skin looked visibly smoother than the night before.  In one day, we accomplished, not arguing about bath time or bedtime, her skin was smooth, and we were using products that were organic without any toxins.  Mommy wins!!  Needless to say, I was hooked.  I found myself unable to stop asking more and more questions about why there weren’t more products just for kids.

Throughout my casual conversations with Melissa about kids, life etc, she asked my opinion about the demand for a kids line.  I pounced!  I mean, this is where I am in life.  My friends and I all have young children where the conversations are; “what baby products are you using?” and “where do you buy sunscreen?.”  Then I thought, how cool it would be if I was the wealth of knowledge they were looking for AND I could supply the goods?

Then Melissa asked the golden question…."Why don’t you start your own business using the products you love?"   This is where Jaime Organics was born.  I chose my own name because J’aime, in French, means love.  I love these organic products and know other people will too.  I am beyond excited to be doing this for, and with my kids.  It brings me joy to help other people discover good, clean products that work so tremendously well.

It has always been my goal for Instant Eden to be an avenue for other mothers to work from home.  Staying home with my boys was be best/hardest/most fun decision I ever made.  It would have been even better if I had a way to make some money and have more fun contacts with other mothers.

 

This is not a multi-level marketing plan.  This is simply a wholesaler/retailer relationship.  That means that you buy products from me at a wholesale price and then turn around and sell them at either our retail price or more.
